第五批研究序列教授交叉研究项目申报启示

南方科技大学前沿与交叉科学研究院(以下简称南科大交叉研究院),致力于促进不同学科的交叉融合和大型实验仪器的平台共享,提倡思想交流碰撞以突破完成单一学科难以解决的科学与技术课题。南科大交叉研究院将通过组织安排交叉研究项目,协助院系各课题组培养和引进具有综合科研素质、跨学科交叉的科学研究及工程技术人才。此次计划开放三十(30)名研究序列人员的招聘名额(包括:研究助理教授、研究副教授、和研究教授)。交叉研究院将根据实际申报的聘用人员层级和数量,在经费预算允许的范围内对总名额进行适当调整。希望各位老师以院系交叉组合配对的方式积极申报。
申报项目的课题组和项目拟聘人员须具有以下特点:
(1)交叉课题组必须由跨院系的两名以上的教研序列的教授(包括助理教授、副教授和教授)组成;
(2)拟聘用的研究序列科研人员需满足以下博士毕业年限要求:研究助理教授需博士毕业满两年(包含两年)以上、研究副教授需博士毕业满五年(包含五年)以上、研究教授需博士毕业满十年(包含十年)以上。*注:为吸引海外高层次人才,满足深圳市孔雀计划C类人才条件的拟聘用人员,在不满足博士毕业两年以上的硬性要求时,可先聘为助理研究员,待成功申请到孔雀C后,可晋升为研究助理教授(一年两次晋升机会,随项目征集一起)。请符合晋升条件的已聘高级研究助理于2018年11月11日18:00时前将本人简历(四页以内)、详细自我介绍(PPT见模板)发送至aais@sustech.edu.cn;
(3)拟聘用的研究序列科研人员须有意愿以三年甚至于更长的稳定时间致力于交叉科学的项目研究;
(4)重点考虑对小规模合作团队的支持,即2~3个PI教授合聘1名研究序列人员的交叉研究项目;
(5)每次申报中每位PI教授可担任聘用主PI一次,co-PI一次(不追溯历史申报获批记录);
*注:经过调研,对此项规定进行了修改,现规定每位PI教授在每次申报中均可担任聘用主PI一次,Co-PI一次,即不追溯历史申报获批记录。
(6)鼓励并支持年轻教授的参与。同等条件下优先支持尚未获得终身教职的教授参与并主持的项目。
申报项目经过竞争评审成功立项后,交叉研究院与课题组将共同协议:
(1)所聘用研究序列人员的层级与薪酬暂定为(研究助理教授30万,研究副教授40万,研究教授50万);该薪酬为聘用底薪;
(2)交叉研究院出资资助所聘用研究序列人员的经费为(1/2底薪+1/2单位承担的五险一金、餐补、过节费、高温补贴、年终奖等支出部分);交叉课题组必须 1:1出资所聘研究人员的经费(1/2底薪+1/2单位承担的五险一金、餐补、过节费、高温补贴、年终奖等支出部分);
*注:五险一金是指劳动者的几种保障性待遇的合称,包括养老保险、医疗保险、失业保险、工伤保险和生育保险,及住房公积金。除用人单位以外,个人也需承担部分五险一金(从每月工资中扣除)。单位和个人对于五险一金承担的具体比例和金额请咨询人力资源部;年终奖发放的额度取决于本人的年度科研绩效考核结果。
(3)若研究序列的科研人员是交叉课题组特别需要的高端人才,而且课题组有意愿提高薪资待遇的,其薪资总额可以超过各级所定薪酬,此时由于薪资增加造成的相应额外支出(即对应增加的五险一金、年终奖等支出)则由课题组全额承担;
(4)研究序列教授工资实行实名发放制,交叉研究院每月制定研究序列教授工资发放单,由校财务部通过银行代发系统按月统一发放;
(5)聘用研究序列教授的课题组将为研究教授提供办公及实验室空间及设备;
(6)住房及子女入学等后勤保障,按学校对研究序列教授的规定统一办理。
交叉课题组所享受的权益和所承担的义务包括:
(1)承诺在以所聘研究序列人员为第一作者发表的科研成果中,以南科大交叉研究院为第一署名单位;
(2)承诺所聘研究序列人员在交叉科学课题研究方向上所发表的科研成果,以南科大交叉研究院为署名单位之一;
(3)鼓励所聘的研究序列人员积极申报国家、省、市级竞争性经费;
(4)积极参加交叉研究院举办的各种学术报告与交流活动,积极与院系学科互通信息,交叉融合;
(5)接受交叉研究院对项目执行过程的监督和管理,按规定参加交叉研究院组织的项目定期报告、中期评审、和结题报告等规定程序;
(6)课题组在聘用研究序列教授前,需对研究序列教授开展科研工作、参加会议等的相关费用做出预算,作为聘用人员支出的一部分。

The Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies at the Southern University of Science and Technology (hereafter referred to as SUSTech Academy) promotes interdisciplinary research through the exchange of ideas beyond the disciplinary boundaries to accelerate scientific discoveries and the utilization of core research facilities. SUSTech Academy will assist various research groups from different departments to train and introduce interdisciplinary talents with comprehensive scientific research quality by arranging interdisciplinary studies programs. The fourth Proposal Call for Research Professors Interdisciplinary Studies Program has 30 openings (including Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, and Research Professor). Appropriate adjustments will be made to the total quota within the budget allowed, based on the level and number of applicants.
Qualifications
1. The interdisciplinary research group must be composed of more than or equal to two tenure-track professors (including assistant professors, associate professors and professors);
2. Candidates are require to hold a doctorate for at least two years, four years and ten years before applying for the positon of Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor and Research Professor, respectively. However, in order to attract overseas talents, the candidate who meets the requirements of “Shenzhen peacock talent plan C” but not the two-year doctorate holding prerequisite, can be employed as Research Associate first and then promoted to Research Assistant Professor after the successful application of “Shenzhen peacock talent plan C” (two promotion opportunities a year with the Proposal Call). Employed Research Associates who are qualified for promotion should send CV (within four pages), detailed self-introduction to aais@sustech.edu.cn by 18:00 on 11th November, 2008;
3. Candidates must be willing to commit to interdisciplinary studies with a stabilization time of three years or even longer;
4. Priority will be given to small-scale cooperation team, that is 2 to 3 PI professors with 1 research professor;
5. Each professor can hire as PI once and Co-PI once in one proposal call;
6. To encourage and support the participation of young professors, under the same conditions, priority will be given to the projects hosted and participated by professors who have not yet receive tenure.
Compensation and Benefits
SUSTech Academy will provide the following financial support to Research Professors:
1. The level and salary of the Research Professors employed are tentatively defined as Research Assistant Professor CNY 300,000, Research Associate Professor CNY 400,000 and Research Professor CNY 500,000, before tax; this salary is the basic salary;
2. The expenses for the employment of Research Professors by SUSTech Academy are (1/2 basic salary + 1/2 welfare expenses which includes “five social insurance and one housing fund”, meal allowance, festival allowance, high-temperature allowance, annual bonus etc.); Interdisciplinary research group must fund 1: 1 to Research Professors employed (1/2 basic salary + 1/2 welfare expenses which includes “five social insurance and one housing fund”, meal allowance, festival allowance, high-temperature allowance, annual bonus etc.);
*Note: “Five social insurance and one housing fund " refers to retirement insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, industrial injury insurance, maternity insurance and housing accumulation funds. Apart from employers, individuals are also required to undertake part of “five social insurance and one housing fund” (deducted from monthly wages). Affiliations and individuals should consult the Human Resources Department for specific proportions and amounts of “five social insurance and one housing fund" undertaken; Annual bonus depends on the scientific research performance of the year.
3. If Research Professors are high-end talents that are specifically needed by the Interdisciplinary research group, and if the research group has the intention to increase the salary of Research Professors, the total salary can exceed the salary level set by SUSTech Academy, then the corresponding additional expenditures incurred by the increase in salary (i.e., the corresponding increase of “five social insurance and one housing fund”, annual bonus etc.) are fully borne by the research group;
4. Research Professors are paid by the real-name payment system. Financial Department will release salary through banking issuing system each month based on the payroll made by SUSTech Academy;
5. The research groups will provide office and laboratory space and equipment for employed Research Professors;
6. The logistical guarantees for housing and children's school attendance shall be handled in accordance with the regulations of SUSTech on Research Professors.
Obligations
The employed Research Professors and interdisciplinary research groups are expected to fulfill the following obligations:
1. Research Professors are required to list SUSTech Academy as the first affiliation in their first-author publications; list SUSTech Academy as one of their affiliations in others publications.
2. Research Professors are encouraged to apply for various competitive funds;
3. The research group should reserve a fund for Research Professors to carry out scientific research work and attend conferences before the recruitment;
4. Research Professors need to participate in academic activities organized by SUSTech Academy and communicate with different departments;
5. Research Professors need to accept SUSTech Academy’s supervision and submit project periodic reports, mid-term reviews, and final reports etc.
